EU-JPIAns on the 2nd SHL Cup

                Thirteen students of the Bachelor of Science and Accountancy joined the annual quiz bowl entitled Sotero H. Laurel Cup held at the Lyceum of the Philippines-Laguna, Calamba City, Laguna last December 9, 2012. Being the first cup holder of the said competition, these students aimed to defend the title and have this the second time around.

                The program started at exactly 7:30 in the morning where registration of the participants and nonparticipants took place. After an hour, the program proper began. One student coming from the host school led the prayer then the singing of the National Anthem on the record. The dean of the College of Business and Accountancy-LPUL welcomed their guests. Next was the returning of the cup being done by the students of MSEUF. After this, the elimination round began. The quiz bowl was composed of three levels: Level 1 – Basic and Partnership and Corporations Accounting(2^nd Year Students), Level 2 – Theory of Accounts and Practical Accounting 1(3^rd Year Students), and Level 3 – Auditing Problems and Theory(4^th Year Students). In the end, Ronz Mikko del Moro advanced in the Level 1 and Jayson Montañez in the Level 2.

                After the lunch break, the final round for Level 1 started, then the Level 2 after an hour. Finally, MSEUF placed 3^rd in the Level 2 of the competition.

                Unfortunately, MSEUF didn't defend the cup, but the students are strongly determined to regain this prestige on the competition.
