EU-JPIA hosted the First Quezon Province Accountancy Students' Congress last July 28, 2012. The event, which aimed to strengthen further the bonds between QFJPIAns, was participated by various schools in the province. The first part of the program was the seminar with the theme "Where To...? BSA Graduates." in the RBA Hall. A very informative talk was given by the President of PALGA (Philippine Association of Local Government Accountants), Ms. Ma. Pilar G. Ramos, CPA.
After the seminar, the Quezon Federation of JPIA conducted a meeting and presented their accomplishment report during the previous federation year. The former set of provincial officers also provided a special video presentation and a scrapbook showing documentations of past key events. This was followed by the elections for the new set of QFJPIA Officers. The elected EU-JPIAns and their respective positions are the following:
Mykel Evan Josef De Silva - President
Jason Montanez - Secretary General
Anjanneth Panizares - Vice President for Non-Academics
Joyce Magsino - Representative
UPDATE: A special election among the QFJPIA Executive Officers was conducted to elect a Vice President for Publications and Communications, and Sarah Jane Banal from Enverga University won (a total of 5 EU-JPIAns in this federation year's Executive Officers of QFJPIA).
